Livestream recorder????

Dear community,

I have a question, maybe it is a stupid one, however I honestly don't know!
Someone told me it is legal to record livestreams, it isn’t the same process like downloading it. My question is now is this assumption true? If this is the case how can I record? Do I need to buy software and can someone recommend one?

You're allowed to record it onto a blank tape on a tape recorder. Just go to the toilet before you start, nothing worse than sitting all day waiting to press record then you miss it when you're doing a wee wee.

I've heard that VLC Player should have the tools you are looking for.

Honestly though, just download it like everyone else, victimless crime like stealing €20 from Denis O'Brien's wallet.
