    Hey folks
I'm suffering at the moment from (self diagnosed) plantar fasciitis.
I want to get this looked at professionally.
I live in Cork and have heard some mixed reviews about foot solutions in Cork.
Anyone have any experience of them or can you recommend anyone else?

Roll a golf ball or something similar under the sole of your foot a couple of times a day. Try this for a couple of weeks. See how it works before seeking professional help.

Had the same thing probably two years ago now. I was in recovery following a broken ankle a few months before. went back playing a bit of soccer/Gaelic Football and i was obviously putting way too much stress on my good foot and made a balls of it. It is exceptionally painful and would only really gt me when i went for a sprint. Could jog all day and there would be no pain at all.

Anyways i went on like this for a few weeks but everytime i tried to make a comeback the "Good foot" would give way and i would have to stop. Went to foot solutions (Think its them anyway) in galway and paid a couple of hundred euros for moulded insoles. Now they did do the trick almost instantly. I could very nearlly sprint the next day (90% anyways ) and within two weeks i was full go. But seeing as i had so many runners /Boots/Shoes i thought ill get another pair. so i went online and bought a couple of really flimsy looking yokes, cant remember what brand, i think about 30 euros for two pairs. What do you know i think they did the exact same job.
i woulddefinetly recommend buying a cheap pair online and see ho you get on with them first.

    Best of luck with it.

As a temporary aid you could get heel wedges to take the pressure off your arch while it heals. If you can still run and use neutral running shoes, maybe try support running shoes for a while. You can use the wedges in day to day shoes too.

There are exercises to do before getting out of bed in the morning as apparently the plantar is tightest first thing and gets re-injured at that time.

(You can get a special splinth to hold the calf and toes (strecthes plantar) in a slight stretch overnight.

Try calf stretches and achilles stretches as well.

Light with the golf/tennis ball if its very sore. Harder as you heal.

Have slight ongoing pain on both feet so have googled a good bit.

Start the stretching etc straight away if you can and id recommend the wedges.
