    Hi delw,

    Thank you for your message.

Is your query in relation to gas or electricity? Are you referring to a Pay As You Go statement or your online billing account? If you are using an online billing account, this may not accurately reflect your balance as it won't show your usage inbetween billing periods. Have you made any payments other than through the meter?

We don't have access to the Pay As You Go system here on Boards, but our colleagues in the Pay As You Go team on 1850 305 095 would be able to check your account for you.

    Regards,
    Aoife

    Hi delw,

Thank you for getting back to me.

The online billing would not show you your up to date balance as it releases a bill every two months automatically. These bills that you can see online would not be issued to you in the post as most of our Pay As You Go customers only receive special statements between once (where in credit) and three (where money is still owed). These Pay As You Go statements break down what you have spent on usage and what has gone against the balance when the meter was installed. You would still get the regular bills however if you have the Free Electricity Allowance so that the vend codes can be issued every two months. We recommend that any Pay As You Go customer with online billing cancel their account as it is only suitable for regular bill pay customers. The meter would normally stop taking the €2.50 once the original balance has been cleared. Usually this only happens where manual payments are being made into the account or where a number of estimations have occurred.

We would not be able to check your balance for you, but our colleagues in the Pay As You Go team on 1850 305 095 would be happy to help. They are available from Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm.

Do let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Regards,
    Aoife
