I want to go out for a spin from dun laoghaire to howth in next hour or so, but
    - its so windy
    - its lashing
    - its probably going to be horrible going against that wind from DL and then from Howth
    - probably gonna regret it after 5 min but it will be too embarrassing to call it a day at blackrock and go back (after dressing up and probably shocking the neighbours that I prefer to go out rather than stay cosy witha cupa)...

    - I might feel good if I manage it

but thats just yea 1 - 4 nay...

Yeah - that post was based on outdated wind forecast - now it's 60kmph...

    Ah just do it!

Any time I do it, I get a hot chocolate and a banana and sit for a few minutes at the pier. That usually makes it worthwhile.

Buuut, I'm in DL myself and it's windy as Fcuk! The wind on the coast road and over the toll will be a morale killer.

“I go out on my bike, I do my ride, and when I get back home I decide if it’s too wet or not!”

    Also HTFU

If you let the weather dictate your life it's game over.

I felt like crying riding back from Malhide via Howth this morning, don't do it to yourself

Some day you will be dead. You can't cycle when you are dead. Go out and enjoy what little time you have left. It's only weather. Wear a coat.
