I did mine c2.5 years ago with Daniel Jayakumar in Confort Driving School. I'm not sure if he's still going but I found him great. Decent rates for renting bikes and gear. At the time he had a GN125, CB250, CB400 superfour and his own BMW.

I found him great, he pushed me to try harder and practice, practice and then practice some more. He is obsessed with good observation being key in safe riding and will recommend the Met Police Guide to Better Motorcycling (I think that's what it's called). I picked it up in Easons for a few quid and it is fairly useful.

Hope that is of some use to you.

Another vote for Daniel, I did both car and bike lessons with him. I think he's based out in Tuam now but still covers Galway city.

All I can say is that I was in NUIG at the time, he brought me to his place for IBT and after that he would trailer a bike to the city for me to use. Sound guy and very highly qualified.

I did a refresher since with Airport Driving School in Dublin and again found them good (sadly no use to you though).

i had the refresher with Daniel as well, good guy and knows his stuff.
i did my IBT with Galway Motorcycle school, but that was when it was owned by John, he has retired from training and has sold it to Gabriel who i do not know. but have heard good things about.

Gabriel at Galway Motorcycle School is another one to try: http://www.galwaymotorcycleschool.com/

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
