That makes more sense from looking it up. Is it still available, and what does a person need to apply ?

Afraid not nod. That seems to be the LEADER programme from 2007-2013. Many a political stoke pulled under that scheme.

The new LEADER for the period 2014-2020 will commence soon but wont be as attractive and local authorities have more control which is step back wards imo.

Ya . . .i can imagine. So, is it for like having other businesses on the farm? I see neighbours of mine have got up to k16 for it , and there farm is no different from mine, or there doing nothing extra.

The local authority will make a total political football out of the funding process. It will become like the other finding they administer, you'll need a counciler to speak on your behalf or no funding. This was another Big Phill mess he left behind.

Agree, there are Councillors who are "known" for getting PP for people. The reason people go to them or TD's, and why parish pump politics exists, is because most systems meant to serve the people are corrupted or plain outright broken. It shouldn't matter who you know or how much €€€ you have, but it does unfortunately. Funding will be used in some cases to buy votes.
