Anyone know Marlin guitars?

    Hey all.

I've a Marlin bass guitar in my apartment that I want to get rid of, and am likely going to sell it.

The only issue is, I know it's an old one and seems pretty rare... So I don't know if it's worth pittance, or lots!

It's a wooden body guitar, Marlin badge on the back saying it was made in Wales.

Anyone able to help out or advise?

Marlin were a cheap copy sold by Waltons in the 80s
the equivalent of their Martini guitars today
played a few back then & never thought much of them

yup, playable after a good setup, but way down at the budget end of things.

NEW today, you could buy an equivalent for around the €120 mark

So how much would you guys recommend selling it for?

    I've attached a few pics.

I have a Marlin bass also. £120 paid for it back in 1996. Wouldn't imagine I'd get that for it now.

I spotted a refurb on Adverts that sold for €115...

Considering this isn't refurbed, would €70 or so be about right?

there are rules about discussing pricing etc aren't there?

anyway, as it's clearly plywood, been stripped at some point and that plate around the knobs isn't original is it?

    ASK €70 and take 50

    You are correct.

Jimmy Bottlehead - read the charter before posting again. Thanks.
