Testing silage.

    See on this weeks journal they were testing silage for nitrates. Any know where you can buy the test strips for they were using.

    Haven't looked into it myself but your local teagasc office will prob do it for ya

    Yeah, Teagasc do it alright. Take a few samples the day before and freeze them and take them out the following morning. The freezing make it easier to extract the juices.

    I know teagasc do it but it's an hour plus round trip for me. If I could just buy a packet of strips they be handy just to leave on the tractor before you mow.
