Any recommendations for a good jewelers in Dublin city centre to put an insert into an engagement ring to make it smaller?

    Thanks in advance!

Do you mean a little band that clips into the back of the ring to reduce the size? I don't think many places would do this as it's not very secure (the little band can easily fall out, making the ring instantly too big & likely to fall off).

The best place to go is of course the place you bought it. If that's not an option, lots of places can resize a ring for you in a couple of hours. I know Paul Sheeran jewellers on Johnsons Court can do it on the same day (I guess more likely if you bought it there), but best if you can leave it a bit longer. It puts the goldsmith under a lot of pressure!

If it's a ring that can't be resized because of a heat-sensitive stone, I suppose you could try getting that little band lasered in, rather than getting the ring sized down & re-soldered. I don't think this would be terribly comfortable to wear long-term though. Sheerans have a laser, & I think Appleby Jewellers do too. I can't think of anywhere else in the city centre that has a laser off the top of my head. Oh there's a guy in Powerscourt (Michael Perry I think) who does a lot of platinum but dunno if he works on stuff he hasn't made himself.

Hi Celt and Clan are very good they are based near grand canal dock just facing bolands factory. They did a fantastic job on my fiancés ring.
