Hello there. My band, Nuke The Fridge, is seeking a drummer to participate in rehearsals, gigs and recording over the summer. We're a guitarist/vocalist and bassist looking to fill-out a three piece alternative rock group. Note we play all our own material. A very brief history: we've been a band for 5 years, although the last 2 have been relatively inactive as we worked through various issues in the rhythm section. That's where you come in.

This is a temporary position, as various commitments mean we'll have to cease activity in mid-September.

We're looking for an experienced drummer who isn't afraid to channel Animal from the Muppets when required. Must be comfortable with very occasional progressive elements (such as weird time signatures or odd phrasing). If you want to help out singing harmony, even better!

As you'll note from our BandCamp, our music is an interesting blend of light and heavy elements, but generally speaking we keep everything pretty melodic and alt-rocky. We've written plenty of new (and better) material since those tracks were put up, so bear that in mind.

Influences include Biffy Clyro, Failure, Sparta, Sucioperro, Foo Fighters, QOTSA, ASIWYFA, Cast of Cheers, Fighting With Wire, etc.

The summer plan is still in the works, but ideally will include LOT of rehearsal, 10-12 gigs around Dublin (and hopefully further afield) and recording a 3 or 4-track EP.

Other things to consider: we're both recently graduated from college, and live in the Dun Laoghaire area. It'd be ideal if you had some kind of rehearsal space at your location.

PM me if you're interested, or if you want to clarify anything! This is a great opportunity for any drummer looking to dust off their kit and have a summer of no-strings-attached musical fun ;)
