    Hi all,

I recently purchased some items on ebay for the first time and I am wondering can anyone shed some light on these charges. I have paid for the item and the postage. That was fine. But now I have 3 separate charges from Pitney Bowes Limited (in relation to 2 items. These charges are 7.92 pounds sterling, working out at roughly 11.65, but times three.

It says on the sellers pages there are no import charges etc. and the postage I paid was already quite high in my opinion (items coming from UK) and now I have over 30 euros worth of these charges which I did not agree to on top of the items price and postage making the items so expensive I wish i didnt buy them.

Should I dispute these charges (its done on paypal) or are they regular charges that also come with internet shopping.

    Thanks in advance.

Dispute the charges, it doesn't sound right, you should only have to pay for what you've agreed to at the "pay now" part. There are no duty charges within Europe. Even if you did buy from outside the EU, it wouldn't be the seller that collects the duty/import charges.

Could it be that seller is shipping from Jersey or some of those offshore islands?

If coming from mainland UK or EU there's no extra charges.
