    Hi all,

Looking at the standard options for holidays at the end of July for myself, my wife and 2 kids under 4. Everything is way out of our budget league due to being peak time.

Has anyone got any outside the box tips that might get us away for 5-7 nights with the 2 kids for a stress free, eat sleep swim kind of break?

We were thinking of maybe Malta or somewhere less obvious.

    possibly look into Center parcs.
They have a weeks Chalet in Germany/ Holland for €900 , which then includes all the facilities
Getting out there can be done for between 400/500 Euro for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Or simply book the likes of a Novotel somewhere on the continent which can have unbelievable deals and they have large Family rooms for no extra cost and often on site pools, get cheapo flights to get you there, and theres very often (in Germany/ Austria/ North Italy anyhow) really good municipal outdoor pools with kiddy splash Areas that cater better for Young Kids nearby.

I'll admit that it isn't the same as a Resort Holiday, but for getting out of dodge its not a bad option.

Some beach/dune camping/caravan resorts in the Vendée, north and south of La Rochelle? North German coast? Slovenia?

We're just back from croatia. We flew dublin to zadar with out 4 year old for 140 each and stayed in zaton holiday resort. It is a centre percs style resort with absolutely everything on site. We stayed for a week and didn't even leave the resort there was so much to do there. We will be returning next year again we enjoyed it so much. Very much family orientated and food and drinks so cheap.

Thanks so much for the tips! We'll check them all out.

Cheapest flight to Zadar in July (not now before school holidays have started) is 330 return. Each.

All traditional sun destinations are the same. A 180 seat plane only takes 45 x 4 person families to fill it. If you want cheap seats, go where families don't go (from Ireland)

Regarding weather, watching sky news here and I see its 4 degrees in Ireland tonight. A high in sunday of 11 degrees.
In munich it's now 19 degrees after midnight, should be 25 tomorrow. Tipping 30 at the end of the week.

It's not only the Mediterranean which has pleasant weather, and if anything Central europe for 2 small kids at the height of summer is plenty hot!

Yeah we're completely flexible on where we go and if the cost is too much, we'll have to be creative close to home in Ireland.

    Did you ever consider Eurocamp?

Very good deals on at the moment (last minute type stuff)

We are going to book our 2016 Holidays in a few weeks with them (waiting on payday;))
