Which colour curtains - suggestions?

We recently painted a 2nd room in the house downstairs for use as a 2nd living room.

Trying to find a colour for curtains that will match. The wall colour is Old Bone by Colortrend and there is a unit at the end of the room that goes wall to all, floor to ceiling that has cupboards and houses the TV that will be painted french white. The floor is oak wood and the couch is a dark brown leather.

Any ideas? Should we go light or dark for the curtains? or what colour whould the curtains have that will compliment the colours already there?

The existing colours are quite neutral so using a bit of colour would be a good idea? What level of natural light does the room get? I would use blue (strong blue like teal or royal blue) if you get plenty of natural light for most/all of the day, and orange if you don't. I know orange sounds really 70's but there are some lovely fabrics out there.

If you go with blue, using orange accents in cushions etc would work well, and vice versa.
