Hi everyone, just looking for some advice or just to vent. I'm a little sensitive right now.

I broke up with my boyfriend last christmas, he ended it, I didnt want to break up. and we met up for the first time this month. Before meeting up, we ended on bad terms, I was very upset as he was off and on regarding us being together, he seemed mad about me and then he would get cold feet and end it. It left me feeling very insecure to say the least. The last time we talked I was very harsh, I let him know exactly how I felt he had treated me and to be fair he apologised and agreed, though it was still a cold ending and neither of us speaking to each other.

Three months later fast forward to now and I contacted him to wish him well on an event important to him , he replied and thanked me and asked how I was , leading to us chatting. I should add we were long distance, two different cities, he knew I had plans to be in his city friday so he suggested coffee. When we met up it was good, we chatted away like normal, he said he thought he would never see me again, and I said, its ok that I had just needed time to accept the relationship was over.

I will add that I do still have feelings but I know it cant happen. this was the first time we had met up since the breakup. After a good hour of talking, just general stuff but we had a great laugh, he asked me if I had considered moving to his city in the future and I said I had but not as of yet, and then he asked me outright, how was my dating life and was I seeing anyone. I was shocked and said no but I had been on a few dates. I asked him and he said he wasnt and was single still. I found it strange he asked. At the end of the coffee, we hugged, said it good to see each other and I went to meet friends who I had planned to meet that day. all in all it was good, but I guess I feel a little down now as I still have feelings and Im wondering was him asking me if I was dating was a sign he might too. But having said that I texted him that it was nice to meet up and he replied but it was very general and he ended the conversation with enjoy my weekend, so I guess thats my answer. Any thoughts would be great

My thoughts would be not to contact him again as he did finish with you and has shown no signs he wants to rekindle. Why would you any given he treated you badly. Just move on op

I'm not seeing anything in this to indicate he's interested. He's probably happy that you patched things up and enjoyed the chat. As for the questions he asked about your dating life and moving, it doesn't have to mean what you want it to mean. It could've been him being nosey or just general chit-chat. As for how he ended that text. Perhaps he senses he overstepped the mark and doesn't want to give you the wrong idea. Don't forget that in this relationship, he was the one who was less keen. He blew hot and cold, he broke it off. I can't see how anything much has changed. If he had doubts then, why do you think those doubts would be gone now?

Never go back to someone who treated you less than you deserve.
