    Just came across this article;

    http://www.thejournal.ie/social-welfare-dole-ajes-mcdaid-2065082-Apr2015/

    It appears a 24 year old managed to obtain the €188 job seeker's allowance rate on the grounds of age discrimination, didn't think they would ever give into that. Surely this will open up the floodgates for all under 26s to claim the full rate? Anybody know of others who have been successful in this?

    OP I'm closing this thread as this forum is for personal information/interactions/advice with Social Welfare.
    There may be a more suitable forum for your thread, maybe Politics? I'm not sure of the correct forum though.
