    With the other thread that's a public service bashing forum, I think we need a balance,

    who would deny Nurses and Gardaí having their pay restored to previous levels. And park wardens amongst others

    Nah just fair wages, I think Nurses especially should be separated from PS because they deserve more for the work they do.

    and I'm not a nurse by the way

    It's their bloated pensions (some of them I stress) that I object to paying while I remain on the same wage for the past 4 years in the supposed booming private sector. With an election coming and 300,000 votes to play for, plus politicians self interest, you know that big increases are on the way both in pay & pensions. Both of course will be spun as 'restoration' and hidden through clever tax and productivity gimmicks.
