Which would you buy, assuming you could find one in good, original condition? Why?

    Fiat Coupé:

    Alfa GTV:

Hmm...not a lot in it right now. Corrado holding a narrow lead...

If I was to keep one long-term it'd be the corrado.
I do like a nicely specked coupe turbo in non metallic blue, yellow or red though.

I'd get an FTO GPX over all 3 though.

That's about all it makes though!

Trying to get a Corrado in anything like original condition is rather difficult though...they've all been 'improved' by boy racers who bought them when they were cheap. :(

sound i thought it may have been private by mistake instead of public:D

i ran a 2000 ink blue fiat coupe 20vt as a daily driver and im biased in their favour but all 3 are already rightly cult classics in there own regard:cool:

Money no object it'd be the FIAT. With the 5 cylinder turbo it's a mad car. The Alfa in the pic looks great and I can understand the want for a VR6 Storm but it's not fast at all by modern standards.

I have no experience nor knowledge of the Corrado.

Between the GTV and the Coupe' it's a tight race. If you can find a 20v Turbo Coupe', then it's the one I would go - besides the excellent engine, it has a ViscoDrive differential that makes it far more lively in cornering and less prone to torque steering. The GTV suffers a bit more understeer - but has a better rear suspension.

If it's between a GTV 2.0 TS and the Coupe' 16v, then I'd probably go for the GTV - better looking and a bit more refined.

Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo Plus would be my choice. Blue or Red.

    You sir, have excellent taste.

I have an Alfa GTV and absolutely love it. My choice was between the GTV and Corrado. The final decision came down to price, the GTVs were a lot cheaper and some great examples around.

I will have a Corrado soon enough though, they are stunners and plentiful over here in England.

As a GTV owner, I can tell you that the 2.0 isn't particularly powerful but I'm not much of a speed man. The 2.5 is obviously a league above. I have the dark blue/tan leather combo which is nice, the red/black is a stunner too. Good on fuel, parts are expensive but nothing Earth shattering. Reliability is not a big issue, ignore the out dated opinion that Alfas are trouble. Well maintained Alfas are a pleasure to own. If you can find one that has a stack of paperwork and a good owner, you'll do great.

Best of luck with your decision and search, you have excellent taste in the sea of banality that is Irish motoring.

I had a 1.8 16V Corrado, black with black leather interior, loved it, only car I've ever regretted selling.....
I think they still look great today, they have aged well.
