Transferring County Councils ( housing List question)

    Hi

    Could someone offer some help.

After a long time looking for a flat in Dublin that accepts rent allowance with no luck have started to look in County Wexford Waterford and further afield.

I have been on the Housing list in Dublin for 5-6 years with Dublin City Council.

If i was to find a place in co Wexford that accepts Rent allowance could I transfer to Wexford County council housing list?

Or is it a whole new application process? could i loose my points from time spent renting in Dublin?

I am worried that because I haven't lived in Wexford for 6 months they could refuse rent allowance. even though i have been renting in Dublin for last 2 years on rent allowance while in college. Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation?

Thanks for any help or advice offered. I am trying to start a new business to get off the social welfare but for the first year need to stay on rent allowance while setting up.

    any help or advice appreciated.
    :)

Housing list will in all probability be a new application,it will not matter where you were renting privately you will qualify for rent allowance.
