    Hi
We have either swallows or house martins every year but this is the first year they have nested over the front door i know we are annoying them going in and out the front door but hey its the front door my question is will they get used to us and lay as normal??? They have nested in the garage and the back of the house every year for the past six and always return and i love seeing them coming back!

I've had the same problem (?) myself but they are resilient birds and will probably be okay with the human traffic.

On swallows nests... My neighbour has just knocked down the occupied nest which was actually on my house, what can I do?

What you can do is report that illegal act. What you will do is probably nothing.

Thank you for that Srameen, I have slept little last night thinking about theses homeless swallows , please do not assume I asked the question casually. I will be reporting this illegal act.
