ZEn v black screen ,can i use it still .

    MY zen v is a few years old,
    the screen does not come on,
    i can charge it ,i can put any music onto it,
    BY using my pc,
    with linux ubuntu on it.
    IT shows as Zen device Media player, mtp device .
    i can look at any folder ,
    all data on it .track no, title,date,
    music folder ,artist, playlists folder etc
    So if i turn it on now, it plays 4 podcasts .
    i can go next track , 1-4 ,
    1up podcast, 1, 2,3, 4 .
    each track has a date ,
    eg 1up fm 20/7/2010 ,

    i put 100 songs on to it,
    it has 240 podcasts on it .
    i can identify those 4 podcasts in the folder .
    400meg space free on it at the moment .

    screen does not power up.
    is there any way i can set it to play say 50 songs by putting them
    in a certain folder .

    I Read if you have windows you can download zen app,
    just put all the songs in playlist 1 .

    i have 1 laptop, 1 pc, both run linux os .

    i opened it as shown on youtube,
    removed battery cable, for 30 minutes .
    doesnt seem to make any difference .

    The power button works, play ,pause works, volume ,up,down , works .
    i dont know if the back button works .

    I know i can get a new screen from ebay .

    i installed a few apps that allow zen, mtp acess on the pc .
