Full skirts or full-skirted dresses

A while ago, I bought this dress:

    azz12861_black_t_2.jpg

It hits my waist and flares out really nicely. It's described as a skater dress, but the skirt is much fuller than usual and it's super flattering.

Would anyone have spotted any other dresses with full skirts like that, or else just full skirts (preferably high waisted?) in high street shops? Preferably not midi skirts, because at 5'5, they just look too long on me. There are plenty of dresses that fit the bill on Modcloth, but they're a tiny bit outside my budget right now.

I also want them to be suitable for daily wear, so Vivien of Holloway etc dresses would be a bit too dressy.

    Thanks!

New Look in Jervis had some full skirts in last week, but they're midi. If you're in Dublin, it may do no harm to try them on though. I'm 5'1 and can occasionally get away with midi skirts!

They were white, black and white/black striped, about thirty quid iirc

Do you know how their sizes run? I've seen some beautiful dresses on their website, but I fall between sizes because my boobs are big.

Not fully sure to be honest, it seems to depend on the style of the dress. I'm an 8/10 and both dresses I've bought I needed the 10 but I recently bought a skirt and the 8 was fine. Pamela Scott and Born clothing both stock Closet dresses as well so if you could, you'd be better looking there and being able to try them on. I'm short (5'2"ish) so I find some of their dresses look lovely on the hanger but don't sit right on me. They seem to be designed with someone taller in mind and they hit my waist in the wrong place, so I end up with loose material on top and nothing to fill it :( though you're a bit taller so they should be fine on you. Can't beat trying them on though. Love the skater skirt style, waiting on delivery of a petticoat from amazon to wear under the skirt I bought, can't wait :)

New Look have dresses in that style. I got one for my sons communion and it was very flattering (I am quite pear shaped). It pulled on over my head so grand over the boobs. I think it was €30 as well which is great :)

They had one identical to the one in your OP, that same dress in coral and lots of floral ones.

I have also seen that style on getthattrend.com and wantthattrend.com if you search 'skater dresses'. They seem to have a bit more length than skater dresses usually have.

I'm a 30FF and a size 10 below the boobs generally at the moment, and my size 12 Closet dress from about three and a half years ago is a little too big at the moment. I'd say fairly true to size tbh.

I'd never heard of Closet til today but have really fallen for a dress on their website

Does anyone know if they have a summer sale? Wonder if I should wait a few weeks and see if the price drops. Is the quality good?
