Learners Permit renewal via post?

    Is it possible? or is it necessary to go to your local tax office to do it?

    Couldn't find anything on the RSA site about it.

    No, you can't renew it by post. You have to go into your local NDLS centre to do it, as they use fangled kind of camera to take your picture for it. Motor tax offices no longer process driving licenses. You can find your local ndls centre at ndls.ie

    Postal applications do exist but only under very certain circumstances. Pretty much if you don't receive a postal application form in the post then you don't qualify and as above, your only other option is to attend an NDLS office with the required docs.
