Lost first gear in CL7 EuroR Honda Accord.

    Hello everyone!

    My mate has the car mentioned above and earlier on he took off hard in first gear, he then hit vtec. Heard a thud, no more first gear.

    He still has 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and reverse.

    Should he be thinking the worst? He he bollixed the gearbox?

    or could someone put me in the right direction of finding a gearbox for the car?

    I'd say he's buggered it alright. Call a few breakers yards for a box or get it to a gearbox specialist to rebuild.

    i doubt there would be many breakers yards with that particular gear box :(

    contacted a specialist and waiting for a reply.

    any honda heads know what gearbox's will suffice thats just bolt in?
