Humanist Ceremony venue in Galway City

    Hi all,

We're getting married next April in Galway and we're struggling to find a suitable venue for the ceremony itself. It'll be a Humanist ceremony and we're looking for a space for 110-130 people.

We've looked at the theatres but they seem to be either too big or too small, and we tried the university but they weren't very helpful. Has anyone arranged/attended a wedding in Galway city before and/or knows a suitable venue?

Open to all options really, we have a fallback of a room in the hotel where the reception is on but that's a last resort really.

We live in London but we're back next week and in August so we're really looking to tie a place down soon. Any help appreciated.

    What theatres have you tried?

We had somewhere between100-120 (cant believe I've forgotten these details already!) in a theatre in Galway last October for a Humanist wedding, with cocktail reception afterwards. Id say we were there 3 hours in total, before we headed off to another venue for dinner/disco/p!ss up.

Have you booked your celebrant yet? If not i highly suggest you do that asap as they are very hard to get. I just about managed to get one for August 2016.
