Oiling decking - use a brush or pad?

    Hi,
About to oil or decking. Lady time I used a pad (on the end of a broom-like stick). It seemed to through the oil quickly so thinking of using a normal paint brush this time. Obviously the pad is much, much quicker but does it use a lot more than a brush?
    Cheers,

Yeah I used those pads in the past with mixed results.

More recently I used one of those cheap pumped pressure sprayers.

MUCH quicker, MUCH easier, did a good job too! just remember to flush it out really well afterwards with plenty of water so it can be used again.

I'm sure someone will chip in soon enough to say "No! No! you can't use those sprayers!", but it worked well for me and in a fraction of the time..

    Cheers,
