I currently work as a contractor and after PAYE, PRSI and USC is paid each week, I also pay Employers PRSI and a management fee of €25 per week. My question is, can I claim anything back at the end of the year with respect to the Employers PRSI and management fee? It's currently costing me the guts of €110 per week, money I'd prefer to have in my own pocket.

Just for additional information, I work for Company x, who pay my gross wage to Company y who make the deductions. Given the contractual arrangement, I am regarded as an employee of Company y who act as an Umbrella Company.

set up your own company, you would then be class s for prsi and not have to pay employers prsi. you would have a different level of social insurance cover and have to produce annual accounts but it could probably work for you.

Sounds good. I'm in the process of setting up a Company, but I may go on as a sole trader for a while before setting up as a limited company.
