colm hayes is around 55 and the al fella is 21, it is like a father and son show. utter rubbish and they have extremely annoying voices.

they should have kept will leahy on that slot.... ceasing broadcasts from limerick was just an excuse.

2fm should relay RTE gold for those 2 hours and the slot would gain another 7k listeners at least

If it's what people want to listen to, then let them off. I'll just add it to the pile of ratings successes in radio that I just don't understand, along with Joe Duffy, Neil Prendeville, Adrian and Jeremy, basically all of RTE R1... :P

Listened for the first time last week whilst sunning myself (!) on Anglesey.

It sounds like a complete mis-match, and another knee-jerk reaction by RTE...

''Colm's boring! And his voice is boring!''
"I have an idea! Team him up with a lively, energetic-sounding comedian!''
''But what about the lack of chemistry between them!''
"Quiet you! Who's that young comic that always sounds hyperactive? He looks like the offspring of Pee-Wee Herman?''
"Al Porter! Snap him up immediately!"

    Words to that effect.

Sorry but I don't get Al Porter , neither funny nor radio material but rather a sad comment on pds in 2015. Plus , at risk of repeating myself , what's the fascination with double teaming - is it so they hope one can start a sentence but needs help to finish it ......,

Thank god for iPods and their like

This is the worst show on radio bar none. I'd prefer to listen to static noise.

Ah but lads did you not hear how risque and controversial they have become, two days ago i heard **** and ****ty on at least three occasions while it was on in the background.
I didn't think it could get any worse but it actually has, it's like their forcing in the mid range swear words in places they don't even belong to try to promote their new podcast, yes they actually have a podcast of all the explicit content they can't broadcast during their daytime slot.
The funniest part of the show is when they play two classics from the 90s to kick off the show and they both choose one and then Al is all talk about remember when that came out and how huge it was and any other info he just copied from Wikipedia because he was born in fecken 1993!
The show drives the sweat out through me, they try to get things trending then and to give away prizes by getting people to follow them on Twitter and they get around 30 retweets god love em.

    What a STATistIC?
    Very droll but still funny.
As they used say on Halls Pictorial Weekly Noise O Noise or was it Boys O Boys?

The referendum moratorium made this show (slightly) more listenable today. No sign or mention of Al Porter.
