    I am looking for some advice as to where to bring a friend for a big birthday surprise lunch. Somewhere relaxing with good food doing lunch during the week around Sligo, Donegal, Carrick area. Many thanks

    Cannot speak for Donegal or Carrick but for Sligo you might try either of;

    Harrisons.
    Henrys.
    Davis's.
    Fiddlers Creek.
    Eala Ban.
    Tra Ban.
    The Venue.
    There are loads more but I am getting too hungry now to mention! :pac:

    Yeah +1 to all those.
    Sligo, Carrick and Donegal is a pretty big area! If it were me, possibly Davis's depending on the occasion.

    If I had to pick one from this list it would be The Venue.

    Donaghys everytime. Great food, loads of choice, never overly busy and the bread! Oh the bread, it's a gem!

    Donaghy's is not open for lunch as such, I think they do bar food from around 3pm. Tra Ban probably not open for lunches either
