How Early Can I check a bag in

I am flying with Ryanair in July on a 6am flight and given the chaos last year at the same time at the airport a friend has suggested I drop the bags to the airport the night before.

As I'm only a 20 minute drive from Dublin Airport this would be a great idea if it can be done. She'd pretty sure you can do it with Aer Lingus but doesn't know about Ryanair.

Has anybody ever done this or know if its possible to drop the bags at say 7pm the night before the flight?

    Thanks

It's a facility offered by EI only AFAIK.

Probably too late for the OP, but I got an email from Ryanair offering this service - check in the bags on the night before.

It wouldn't really suit me, as we're a good distance from the airport. Any idea what the Ryanair bag-drop queues would be like at 5am at this time of year?

Just updating on this - flew out end of July - got mail from Ryanair few days before offering this service so popped out the night before (20 minute trip).

You can check in from 8, so was there on the button, nobody in the airport, checked in bags, slightly overweight so could remove stuff and take home or pack in carry on and all in the comfort of being kidless and without a queue of people behind and the pressure of the following morning. Got buggy over to oversize luggage and again no queues. Home by 8.45.

Following morning meant just me and the family and carry on out to the airport, long term parking without the hastle of trying to wrestle all the luggage and straight to the departure gate, through security and plenty of time to relax.

Obviously not for everyone, worked for me because I'm in Meath and the airport was close but if you can do this it will transform your early morning trip. Would highly recommend.
