Hard to say without seeing them but anything with fr blood behind them here crosses very well to a charolais. You'd be sacrificing a bit of calving ease though......are they cows or heifers? Balto wouldn't be a bad lad either, he's a fantastic looking bull.
CWI is a grand bull, light boned though. I'd hazard a guess that your bb/fr cross may be light boned too so could end up producing leggy, light stock.

Might be worth thinking ahead to this new scheme though, there'll be farmers looking for high starred heifers the next few years to keep on target with stock numbers. If you're not signing up for it yourself it may be something to think about if your cows could produce 4/5 star calves.

That took me way too long to read, any chance of toning down the text speak please!

What AI companies are available to you? CWI is Dovea & HCA was NCBF so I'm guessing those two anyway.
    Here's Dovea's Lims
KJB (Brooklands F0959) is dropping good calves this year.

KJB is very good bull and works well on bigger cows, wouldn't be putting him on heifers tho. He has a long gestation unfortunately.
I like the look of KZH, he's a new bull and should be easy calved.
OZS is a very good easy calving bull, again works best on bigger cows.
ZAG is another new bull and looks easy calving. I'm going to use him on young cows this year.

Limo would be KJB,, he's easy calving & says he's suited to dairy cows. I'd agree on that, have seen a few of his calves and they're dropped small but muscle up nicely. Or Kilskeagh Hill 16 (KZH) or perhaps Baileys Duncan off Bova. Dovea & Bova are the ones I know best, Dovea moreso.

If you want to chance an easy ch PIO (Pinocchio) is a great bull with both quality and easy calving, have used him for a long time and bring lovely hairy calves.

For a Part bull I'd go for Bolide, he seems to have a better frame to my eye than Balto. I've no experience of using either but I dehorn calves for a fella that swears by them. They're lovely calves at a few weeks old when I see them, off blue x cows as well.

The only thing I would prefer to go with limousin like they would have a better colour than the parthenaise. Now I would be keeping the heifer calves as im trying to build numbers.

People are getting used to parts and the colour thing seems to have phased out a bit lately, a good calf is a good calf regardless of colour. I've a part cow here that looks like scrap but throws a smashing calf off a Charolais bull and still comes that orangy shade I used to think the same as you but definitely a good cross. Don't forget you've a fifty fifty chance of a bull either and I know from building no s that you still need the Bulls to pay the bills.

Have a look at Lennon Frosty this bull is producing serious stock he'd give you some lovely heifers with milk. Were going to use more of him after seeing the calves. He has serious breeding in him his sire Cerberus is one of the best bull around.

I've a few second calvers bulled to ZAG as well because he seems to be easy calved by his figures. His milk figure is average but with the fr background to the OP's cows I'd try him on a few. Heifers should be good and terminal looks is good too.

Anyone know anything about the maternal testing program bull YOB? I've got a few straws from him.

I have a few of this type of cow and I'm a big fan. Great temprement, plenty of milk and good quality calves. Calving is their weak point however. I wouldnt even look at a Charolais. Limo or Part give good results. Hereford work well to if you are finishing stock.
