Sparrow trapped in attic

I think there is a house sparrow trapped in our attic. I have heard constant non stop chirping all day and occasional scrabbling. That part of the attic is completely sealed off so I can't go up to investigate or help it. I suppose there's nothing else I can do but hope it finds its way out? There are lots of sparrows on the roof who appear agitated like they are trying to 'help'. I am very upset at the thought of it dying up there.

Sounds like House Sparrows nesting under the roof tiles. Worry not. Quite normal. They will be fine.

Oh great, hopefully that's all it is and they are not trapped. I had initially thought it was a chirping nest of hungry chicks..
Now I just need to invest in some heavy duty ear plugs!!!

Indeed, they can be very noisy. The first year we had them my wife was convinced we had rodents in the attic.

I take it you mean your starlings, as the OP's House Sparrows are not trapped.
