Currently here on holidays and going to pick up some local products while I'm here. Already got a couple of La toja shaving sticks at a €1 each! Used it this morning it's very good nice scent and good lather definitely going to stock up on these.

Saw Floid preshave and aftershave balm for about a €5 seems to be worth picking up from what I've read on Badger and Blade.

Local supermarket had a few bits aswell Lea shaving cream for €1.50, Bea shave stick for €1.20 and 10 persona blades for €2.25. Going to keep an eye out around the place.

Any other recomendations? Want to get a Vie long shaving brush if I can find it. Probably won't find much here in Nerja but should in Malaga one of the days.

If it's the big bottle of Floid for 5 quid definitely pick it up. It's great stuff. You've prerty much found the good stuff that i can think of already, unless Myrsol aftershaves are being stocked commonly in Spain now.

You should just stock up on the La Toja shave sticks - I know I would.

La Toja sticks are excellent, fantastic value if you can get them at €1 a pop. Lea and Bea are reputed to be very good but have not personally tried them. All of the Floid products I have used arer aslo very good.

I formerly travelled quite a bit to Spain and regret that at that time (pre my DE shaving) I did not avail of all those great shaving products in ordinary shops. I recommend getting another suitcase for journey home!

La Toja is an excellent stick, my favourite tbh. The container is great for travel purposes, an empty is easily big enough for a
Simpson's Wee Scot brush. Fill the suitcase!

If you can't find Vie Long brushes in any shop, you could order one online from a Spanish site, and save yourself some postage by having it delivered to somewhere you're staying in Spain. Both of the following sites offer 10% off, the code is 'TSR'.

Likewise, work had me over in Barcelona frequently over the years and PPP lenty of opportunities to stock up and sample the local products.

    Here's what I liked:

La Toja soap and creams both regular and sensitive are well worth picking up. I've a couple of DE shaving friends who would also pick up the La Toja aftershave sensitive balm. Found any of their products to work well above average.

Floid: The Spanish version of the aftershave is a bargain if you like the scent. The supermarkets also have a more modern range of balms/gels. I tried a couple and didn't think it anything special (similar to Gillette products).

Lea: The shaving stick is another well worth picking up in the supermarket. Classic performer similar to Palmolive stick (better event!). Also have a range of shaving creams worth a punt.

Nivea: their old school shaving cream in a metal tube is a must-get.

Myrsol: their shaving emulsion is one of the best products I've used. Lemon aftershave is nice. If you're close by make sure to visit. Proper old school and classic products that I found well above average.

Gifts&Care are great to deal with if anyone is looking for a fix of Spanish shaving products. Delivery around a week.

Thanks for the advice guys picked up some Floid preshave and aftershave balm. Cleared out the chemist of their le toja sticks and will pick up the one each of the lea and bea. Not sure about the aftershaves I have sensitive and sometimes dry skin so prefer to use balms but I may get some Myrsol.

Had asked in the chemist was there any where to buy shaving brushes in Nerja and was told no. Was assuming I'd have to go to Malaga when out for a wander last night I spot this. Will drop in today

They have Myrsol in the window. Stick it on the top of your list if they have the emulsion.

    Must stop reading this board:D

New arrivals from Gifts and care. La Toja soap and Myrsol emulsion.

Soap lathers up really well. Very little water needed.
As for the Myrsol emulsion? Wonderful stuff. Using it before the final pass and post shave at the moment.
Thanks to Gran Hermano for the tip.
