    Hi guys,

First of all apologies if this has been done before, I will be sitting the medical in the near future for my class one medical for my CPL.

I was diagnosed 8 years ago with anxiety however I have not had any anxiety problems for the last 7 so essentially it has been cured, I believe it was something which happened as a result of growing up. I never took any medication but I underwent cognitive behavioral therapy to cure the problem. I will obviously be fully disclosing all medical information to the doctor but my question is will the fact that I have previously experienced anxiety prevent me from obtaining a class one medical.

    Thanks in advance

    John.

There is not a single person on this board that is qualified to give medical advice.

True. But a doctor probably wouldn't know the answer to this either.
The OP is looking for aviation-specific advice, not medical advice.
For example, a pilot on this forum might have gone through similar circumstances?

i still do not think that any pilot is qualified to answer any questions. Everybody's issues are unique to that person. I understand extreme anxiety and what it means to someone close to me but advice from strangers does not help anyone especially the OP.
