sand ceremony

Hi all,

I'm having a sand ceremony at my humanist wedding. has anyone done this before and how did it turn out?
I'm looking for different coloured sands and a nice vase. can anyone recommend where to get this. had a look on amazon but would rather buy directly in a shop.

We are having one too and on the lookout as well. Our Humanist suggested a boxed frame to put the sand in and keep rather than a vase. Found some on amazon etc but they are a bit pricey.

We did one at ours but our Spiritualist celebrant supplied the stuff.
We used 3 vases, one with purple, one with white and one with a mixture. We poured half of our individual colour in, swirling as we poured, then poured the mixed one together, then topped off with individuals again. It turned out beautifully, so glad our celebrant pushed it as we weren't going to do it initially.

My friends had a sand ceremony at their wedding. They had different colours of sand which each person chose from. They both got their dads involved and they also have a little girl who got to choose a colour as well. Each person took it in turns pouring a little amount at a time into a vase until all the sand was poured. It was a lovely way to get both dads involved on the day and "connect the families" as the celebrant mentioned. It was a lovely thing to witness and something different from the norm

Make sure the neck of the vase is big enough so that your not there all day.

the sand ceremony sets on line are lovely but not sure I want to pay the price. im gonna be on the hunt for nice vases.
