Job Seekers Benefit question

My wife has been receiving Job Seekers Benefit since 1st October last year.

This morning she received an offer of a full time job with a smallish company, however the company said they have had problems with people leaving soon after they start so they have asked her to do a 2 week trial so she can be sure that she is happy with them and they are happy with her. This would start tomorrow - 3 days this week (my wife had already arranged to go to the funeral of a close friend this Friday) and 5 days next week. Hopefully eveything will go fine on both sides and she'll be back to work.

Should she contact her local office before or after the 2 week trial ends and a decision is made? Really not sure what the next step is as we've never been in this position before. Would appreciate any help.

As she is on jsb she can inform her local office that she has 3 days work this week and a full week next week(her claim wont be closed),if she gets the position she may sign off online

Is this a paid trial? If not they may pay JSB while she is on the trial.

Good question and one she didn't seem to want to ask :)

She'll find out tomorrow I guess.

Try find out before, if she works without telling the SW office she could be in a whole heap of trouble. Better to go to the SW office and tell them that she hasn't been told if she will be paid, better safe than sorry.
