Selling stuff while on dole

Have decided to sell off personal stuf,f that I don't need at car boot sale.
Not sure if this is allowed while on JSA.

And to complicate things I have a large amount of potted garden vegetables that I could sell too.

I'm thinking selling my own personal items is OK but selling Letuce plants etc. might be considered a business income.

Thought someone here might have experience or an opinion.
    Thanks

You can sell personal stuff, personal stuff would generally be one off items,a large quantity of potted plants might not.

    Thanks.
Will mention my planned plant sale to local office.
As it's a Sunday market I may not be deducted dole. That just occured to me.

as long as its not a business or regular income or premeditated fraud then id say nothing.
Surely comes under the category of headache for everyone to work out and invoking nothing but hassle , just go with the flow and if it starts to become more regular or is attracting an income then rethink it.

... many years ago I started off small doing one off engagements and once I kept a list of them and submitted it at the end of each month the officer deducted 1 days rate off the dole for each day worked. I was on JSB at a reduced rate of 86 pw so a days deduction wasnt much. I'd imagine that someone on max dole plus adult dependent and kids etc would have to be more circumspect about taking on short jobs or casual work as an hour or twos work would not pay over the lost daily rate at full rate dole.

Mondays through Saturdays are counted so day rate is 1/6 weekly rate. Sundays are not counted.

I think it is called a casual ticket system, originally designed for casual dockers and day labourers.

I am doing the same, I'm selling products I made while in college, I told the dole office and I will sign off the the day of the sale and I have to bring in details of my sales to the dole office.

I'm on JSB though so I'm not means tested.

Also I have to tell the tax office as JSB is taxable and that with the sales may give rise to a tax bill.

They havent asked for it, but I have my costings and receipts for the materials I used to make the items and they are more than their sale value, so I may not even make a profit.

Thanks for all the comments guys.
I can understand why the system has to reduce your dole if you have an income. A discussion in itself but I won't go off thread,
