My wife went up yesterday, it's €40 day return (zone M).

As above - the day return fare at the station is €40.

Not being smart, but is that page THAT hard to follow?

See what zone applies from the grid and then find which type of fare you want and check for the appropriate zone.

To be fair you are bring smart I explained in my original post I couldnt understand the grid/pay scale but you seemed to have ignored that fact..

If don't want to fully read my posts then you need half answer the question.

All I wanted was a straight answer to my question for when I arrive to Connolly.

    I did read your post.

It was a genuine question - the fact that people cannot follow something that straightforward is rather worrying.

    It isn't exactly complex.

This sort of thing is fairly basic - it's akin to people not being able to read a timetable.

Sorry for inconveniencing you with my genuine question I always thought boards.ie was a open forum for people to ask question of other members.

Anyway have a nice day I'm off to catch the train...

I'm merely questioning what is so hard to follow about the fares page?

Took me a few goes to figure it out as well and I like to think I'm not a thicko - and the dark colour of the northern area added to my initial confusion also (I understand why its like this).

Fwiw I think they should have done it as a square grid with stations on the leftmost column and topmost row - I think this is more instinctively intuitive for people.
