Family of foxes in back garden

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.

Found out today that we have a family of foxes living in our back garden. We live in Dublin backing onto some playing fields. There appear to be at least 3 fox cubs living underneath a Shomera we have in our back garden. We could see a fox (presumably the mother) roaming the playing field from our upstairs window.

What are our options? We want to get rid of the foxes, but do not want to harm them. Is there anyone we should contact about this?

They have probably been living there for the last few months unnoticed, rearing the cubs. If you leave them alone for another 2 months, the cubs will be reared & will leave by themselves then you can block up where they are living to stop them coming back.

Thanks. We got similar advice from others. Our main concern is our Labrador bitch and whether she might catch anything from them. Are there any precautions we should be taking? Her shots are up to date.

Dose her for fleas, worms, and ticks.

If you can't coexist with them don't be naive and get an exterminator(rentokill etc)

Be very careful if you have young children/babies in the house, they have been known to enter houses and attack babies in the UK

    Folks,
Methods of population control are not allowed in this forum, so let's not go there.
As for foxes attacking human babies, one incident in the UK, once, does not constitute a risk beyond a one in milllions chance. Saying otherwise really is scaremongering.
