Does my car have remote central locking?

    So I just bought a 2002 Skoda Octavia Ambiente. It only came with 1 key. I am trying to figure out if the car came with remote central locking but the key was lost.

    On the door frame were the lock is there is a little LED that starts blinking when the car is locked with the key in the door. I can only assume this is the alarm.

    If this goes off i would of thought you would need to press the button on the keys to disable it?

    13 year old car, it's bound to have lost a key along the way. Or at least be left sitting in the drawer of a previous owner that doesn't even know it's there!

    Yea not too worried about the second key. I have just sold my Accent with 1 key. Was like the way I got it a year ago.

    Remote locking was not standard on even the newer model octavia so you probably don't have it.
    Seeing as the led is being activated by the standard key when locked, I'd say everything is working as expected.

    I know of an 03 and 02 ambiente that friends had and neither had remote locking. The LED is just a deterrent, not an alarm or anything.
