You will have to try a few and see what works best for your rifle and groups most consistently for you. Even air rifles of the same brand can have different pellet preferences.

You could buy a sample pack and you would have a selection of each to try out.

It's fun and cheap to try some out too.

I don't know what model you have but I would stay away from anything over 16gr to start with and you will probably be good with the 14-16 gr as your heaviest. Stick to dome heads until you find something that works and get used to the rifle and trajectories from it.

As for a scope, you said you are looking to hunt with it so a scope is pretty much a necessity, surprised a firearms dealer didn't give you a price on one when you bought the rifle.

You will need something rated for a spring rifle if that's what you have and you should find something for around € 100 that will do the job.

Go back to the dealer you bought from and see what he has to start with, shop around other firearms dealers as well.

    Plenty second hand around too.

Ya its a spring type not sure if he said 60 to 75 fitted. Are the spring scope different to a normal rifle. I think mine are 15grain domed type

Some scopes are not rated to take the harsh spring recoil, its very different to centrefire recoil. Also get good mounts, some lads get a tiny spot of tig weld to stop scope creep.

Any scope will be ok on pcp air rifle but not so with spring.

Pellet brands worth looking at are JSB, RWS, Daystate, Crossman premier (specifically the premier range as they make some woeful ****e as well!), ..there are a few others but they aren't coming to me right now.

As for scopes, always best to send an email to the manufacturer before mounting on a springer but to the best of my knowledge all Hawke scopes are springer rated, and many other manufacturers have 'air' scope ranges as well.

I use Crossman Accupel dome head. They have flat polished bottoms so they act as a tracer with the light from a lamp when out clipping a few rats at night :D

I had gamo hunter 440 and found the Bisley long range gold to be the most accurate and best grouping pellet out of all the pellets iv tried

I had a Gamo Hunter 440, I found the gamo pellets very inaccurate don't even bother trying them would be a waste of your money.
