Gas Heating Engineer Recommendation Needed

I need to install gas-fired central heating into an old flat which has never had heating before. The flat spans two stories of the building. I still haven't decided whether to go with a combi or a condenser boiler, but the fuel will definitely be gas which hasn't been connected yet, although there was a gas connection in the flat a few years ago.

Could somebody PM me recommendations for a heating engineer in the Ballsbridge area, please? Or, if you've had any bad experiences with cowboys, please let me know! I'm currently just googling companies online.

How long does the installation of a completely new heating system take? I need to get this done in July, and as quickly as possible.

4 years ago we had an existing gas heating system upgraded by a well advertised company. And recommended by a friend.
They took out and dumped 1 good double rad we hadn't told them to.
4 different installers were involved in a simple 3-bed semi-d fit that took them 3 months to do in fits and starts.
The guy who was here most of the time was smoking dope half the time he was here according to the builder.
None of the 3 vertical rads they built were built properly and now have very slow leaks. They repeatedly denied that there was a problem. I should have taken them to the small claims court.
    Not a wise choice.
They're still in business and still advertising.
    PM sent.

Your awful experience is exactly the nightmare situation I want to avoid! Thanks a million for tipping me off. I've made a note of that company with 'AVOID AVOID AVOID' written next to them. I hope you sorted everything out in the end.

A big thankyou to everyone out there who sent me recommendations privately. The same name keeps recurring which is very reassuring and a great place to start.
