Recommend me a new Modem

Hi. Wondering if anyone here can recommend me a new modem. I am with Vodafone and using their Huawei modem that they give free. Unfortunately it is quite useless in regards to wireless connection. Any ideas on a good replacement for a relativly good price?? Im not on fibre and get speeds of 12mb. Thanks

but bear in mind you could find it even cheaper second hand, I had one and it was awesome, sold it for same price I paid for it when changing to fibre so look around, done deal etc.

Ps I got its equivalent for fibre and thats awesome as well. wi fi in shed but I live in a bungalow and router is bang in middle of house.

While the 3700 (and 3800 that I have) is an excellent unit, I wouldnt buy it now, its getting on in the years. Better to buy something AC compliant, and proably VDSL too.

To be honest the wifi in the Vodafone modem isn't bad. It should certainly not limit a 12Mbit connection. I have an Archer C7 and it's good but on 2.4Ghz the strength is actually a little worse than the Vodafone unit.

Have you thought about getting a wireless router and using your current one in bridge mode? This would give you some future proofing if you change provider later
