Fairly stretching the meaning of the word "confirmed" there my friend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,708 ✭✭✭BeardySi

    "emerged"..... yup

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 34,809 ✭✭✭✭smash

Confirmed? Oh man I thought that word meant something else entirely but now I'm confused because that link and video has established nothing. :(

How does 'alleged footage' of an 'alleged alien' confirm anything?

If yer all going to be pedantic or facetious about this, kindly take your negative energy somewhere else. This thread is for serious discussion only.

It's been confirmed that alleged footage exists?

You can't have a serious discussion about a possible or probable hoax. There's no confirmation of anything, regardless of the hopeful thread title.

    And negative energy? Enough said.

Don't know where to start with this to be honest.

The evidence is all around us. We only have to open our EYES.

I believe Nessie has been confirmed too. The paper said so, allegedly.

And our heads, if you believe everything that falls in.

What does David Icke say about it all? I'll take his word for it, but not those know-it-all 'scientists'.

I'm going to be positive as instructed by the OP.
It's up there with leprechauns, pixies, big foot, and my Euromillions ticket bought yesterday.

It is true... but old news. I saw this confirmed 100% on the front cover of the National Enquirer in 1997.

Roswell Alien Footage (not) CONFIRMED (one tiny bit).

Misleading thread topic. But then again, this is AH

The problem with stuff like Roswell (and religion) is people so badly want it to be true they suspend all critical faculties and accept any shaky 'evidence' as concrete fact.

And as society moves forward and gets more more educated, this stuff gets halted in time frames of old.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,737 ✭✭✭✭kylith

Ah, this is some completely new definition of 'confirmed' meaning 'absolutely not confirmed', is it?

What we have learned about space is there are lots of planets around other stars that we have discovered that seem able to support life.

If the universe is over 14 billion years old and our own star is 4 billion years old. What if life elsewhere in universe started 8 billion years ago and is intelligent life?

As for Roswell, it is possible, one would lean more on the side of hoax but given what we know of the universe, you have to leave the possibility of intelligent alien life existing elsewhere.
If it does exist, we are not in a position to know how intelligent.
Stephen Hawking warns about sending signals into space looking for intelligent life, as he says it puts Earth at risk as they could be hostile.

Given the size of the universe, and the countless number of stars with even more planets around those stars, it does raise the chances of intelligent lifeforms elsewhere.

The hoaxers are actually really aliens setting up the perfect disguise.

I don't doubt for one second there is life like us or waaaaay more advanced than us or primitive like us out there, millions of different versions of us humans or what have you.

But this, this 'confirmed' film is just, whatever, it looks just like that mummy someone posted up above here. Believers really need to have a truck of salt at all times.

Again, I fully believe the universe is teaming with life but the general lights in the sky etc, meh.

For all we know we could be the last life forms alive and thriving right now with other civilizations dying out thousands or millions or even billions year ago, it's a big space.

Next time, we'll also be having a serious and non facetious discussion on the plague that is troubling all our lives Vampire Killer Clowns, and confirmed footage of them distributing Gideon bibles to hotel rooms everywhere.....

I actually don't think its possible to travel to planets in distance solar systems. The distance is prohibitive.

It's always kinda sad when these stories get debunked. Could ye not just give us one alien/nessie/chupacabra to leave a bit of mystery in the world ffs?

Is it not the time that is prohibitive? With enough time you can get anywhere. It's the American dream after all.

Isn't the chupacabra a rare, shy, ugly as **** Mexican dog like species of creature? Or is that a myth too?

It's a myth in the sense they never found it but there's weird incisions on cattle and animals in the same areas it's "spotted". Like catte mutulation where cows get done in when some hick sees a UFO.
