    Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone goes to Daddi the gay night in the Turks head in Dublin?
Been hearing a lot about it and wondering should I give it a go? I'm usually not a gay "scene" kinda lad but I'm trying to give it more of a go. Any info would be hugely appreciated - thanks :)

Hey Idiopath, I guess it really depends on what you're into and what you're looking for.

You say you're not a scene kinda guy - why is that? Is there something you don't like about other gay venues, or is there another reason why you havent taken to the other clubs/pubs?

Daddi is a men only night for bears/cubs/chubs and their admirers. So if you like the sound of that, or if those are the types of men you are attracted to, then by all means go, you could have a blast.

If you prefer a younger crowd and lots of pop music then maybe try the George.

If Daddi doesn't sounds like your thing, but the George is too young, then maybe give Mother a shot. It's a good friendly, mixed crowd (mostly gay) and great music.

Post or PM me more personal info such as what you do like (in terms of men/music/socialising) and I could probably be more specific/helpful.

EDIT - re-read my post and it gives the impression the G is only for young people. Not the case!

    Thanks Nozipcode!

I think anytime I've gone out on the scene I've found it to be quite cliquey, I just haven't felt as comfortable as I would in a predominantly heterosexual pub or club... Makes it harder to pull though! :P

Saying that I've only been living in Dublin a few months and have never stepped foot inside any of the gay venues so I get that it's totally unfair of of me to Tar them with the that brush! I think I'd quite like Daddi from your description though, something a bit different.

I don't have many gay friends either (that sounds quite sad!) so I normally just tag along to wherever my mates are going and since their mostly straight that's where we go!
