Disable zones and remove sensors

Have a HKC 1070 and want to confirm I am on the right track. I’m having some windows replace in the house and I want to disable certain zones and remove the wired sensors while the work is taking place.

I have engineer access. Can I disable each zone under 3. Zone Menu, 3. Zone Options and remove each sensor but still enable the alarm for all other zones?

Yes you can. Are these wireless zones?
The easier option would be to programme each zone as unused.

With wired zones you can program any entire zone unused.

Looking through the options again. Can't see how to disable the zone under 3.zone menu 3.zone options Which option is to disable the zone so I can remove the sensor without a tamper alarm?

Go into Zone Types, Press Yes once you have the appropriate Zone Name up, once you do this the current Zone Type as programmed will blink, by pressing the # button who will eventually find Unused and when you do press Yes.

You will know that you did it correct as the word Unused will be stable on the screen.
