Lidl Merchandiser

    Hi,
    Have an interview for an merchandising role with Lidl,

    anyone know what they do, seems a bit different to the merchandising role im in now.

    What are the pros and cons for working with Lidl.

    Dunno what the merchandising roles are like but they have a reputation for working frontline staff half to death. They pay well though.

    As I say, not sure about the merchandising role, but LIDL and ALDI always had a reputation of going one step further than any other retailer. I've heard some rumours about them walking back from that position slightly. 60 Hour weeks are not uncommon and you have to bear in mind this is grocery, alway thought of as the worst of retail in relation to workload.

    That said people I know who've worked for them (ever see a fat LIDL or ALDI employee though!) like it, at least for a time, and the pay is excellent.
