    Hey
Looking to buy a 6 series for around the 8-15k range depending on spec.
Came across this which I thought was sensational value
    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/bmw-6-series-630i/8774342?offset=7

Turns out it was bought from Morrison BMW in Cahir. They replaced a window rotor in early 2013 when the car had 210k kms on it. Rang 3 times about this car and he assured me that there was 167k km on the clock 2 years later.
Either the sales man is dyslexic or else this is clearly a clocked car and people should avoid.

    Reg is 06 WD 2085
Please avoid if anyone else is tempted.

Sorry if this is the wrong section

The millage is stored in these modern cars in several places in the electronics.

good mechanic with reader can tell you what the milage says in all the memory

That way you can be sure is clocked

Also reading the specs it says full service history .

If its reputable BMW service I think they note the kilometers on each service .

It would be interesting to see how they can fake the kilometers down from 215k to 168k with electronics and service records showing the clocked mileage .

If they replace the speedo with another speedo that says 168k it wont pass the smell test with the service history and the electronic scan to other memory sections .

Have you actually asked the dealer is the mileage correct? You could be defaming this garage. 200km is 125 miles. Maybe the work was done at 125km but the person recording it thought it read miles and wrote a converted to miles to km in their records?
