If you are happy to stay with Calloways, Mcguirks have some fitting days coming up.

Just awaiting the flow of custom fit experts is all... Foregolf would be the top option for replacing your clubs.

There is a (controversial to some) view that club fitting has less influence on your golf game than eating popcorn.
    Or something.
(M&S Sweet and Salty my own preference. Certainly benefits the long irons).

Yup, and some people think saturated fat is good for you too..... there's always a fool factor to consider :)

I've been custom fit several times for irons and woods and always found it a valuable process. If nothing else it gives you the confidence that the stick you have in your hand is right for your swing, and that alone prevents you from second guessing your equipment.

The modern scopes in the right fitters hands are very useful tools in optimising clubs for your individual swing.

I'm not sure McGuirks is classed as a fitting tbh - Go to Fore Golf if you can

Let the fitters answer this for you, that's their job to find the best that suits you!

A fitting doesn't involve magic and potions, it can be simply going to MCgurks and letting one of the lads watch you hit shots while using the Flight Scope to pick up your numbers, finding out what head style is more playable for you, shaft type and flex. A lot of mid to high handicap player's will benefit ftom this process itself, yes the guys wanna make a sale, thats what they are paid to do. But they wanna make the right sale too. As many have alluded to here Fore Golf are probably the industry leaders when it comes to fitting, in terms of experience for the player, buisness experience, building the majority of end product on sight and trust from the branbs to let them use their product in this fashion. All this comes with a premium attached, but as many have said, inc some very fine players, it is ultimately worth it.
At the end of the day go get "fitted" by eithrt and learn a little someyhing.

Just wondering now but is Titleist fitting centre in Carton House not a good option?

Only asking a question now not trying to put Fore Golf vs Titleist

I think all the fitting centers have access to much the same technology and presumably they all employ people who know how to use it. I haven't used the one at Carton House but if it only offers Titleist they may have fewer options available than someone like Fore Golf.

Mind you, McGuirks have all the equipment too - and carry a huge range.

Ya i see your point. Thinking of getting fitted at the end of the season

Muzino reckon u only need 3 swings for them to give you the right shafts for there irons. Have had 3 or 4 fittings and all with much the same results project x 6.0 shaft and im a standard lie and length. Would like to go to foregolf but reckon it would just be the same answer.
Anyone ever got a really different answer one fitting to the next?

3 or 4 swings seems crazy. It would get you a rough idea what flex to use but custom fitting i dont think so. I used this device before and told should have Stiff shaft S300 SL shafts.
    1yr later
A good friend of mine is a Pro and the club has trackman and did a fitting for irons. I spent over an hour hitting balls and deleting the bad ones to get proper data. Now he isnt trained fully in fitting but he told me from the numbers on screen....ball speed, swing speed etc i should be using X-stiff X100 shafts.

I'd argue there is very little difference between both...

How is deleting your bad shots getting proper data?
Surely the bad shots need to be analysed.

Why were the bad ones not proper data ?
Surely they are the important ones that the clubs should have been designed to improve. The good ones were already good with the clubs you had ?

    There is a huge difference

The S300 SL are superlites and around 110 gram

    The X100's are something like 130 g

20 grams and stiffer is a huge difference

    X100 in which shaft?????

Maybe I'm reading the post different but no where in the post did it indicate the pro suggested the shaft was wrong; only the flex.

The Mizuno DNA does exactly that it gives the Fitter 3 options to work with. Option that are all in the cart.
12 months is a long time, if you have been playing alot, practicing, getting lessons orwhatever your swing speed can increase. You abilities can change. Your point is moot with out figures to back it up.

Id imagine the really bad ones are just down to a bad swing which is going to give a bad result with any club-I can see their logic.

Went with McGuirks myself because the insurance only deal w McGuirks so was handier. Spent about 40 minutes going through options w irons, woods and drivers. Happy enough, even if there not as good as foregolf. Anyway I throw away at least ten shots every round through terrible chipping and inconsistent putting so thats where i need to focus more. Id imagine ill hit any set of new decent clubs reasonably well.

I should have been more clear. I deleted the really bad ones like a blade/skull shot. I normally hit irons fairly well so the way i looked at it no point keeping them shots. I wanted to see with good data what i would be best suited too
