Hi all, new to Cork and was wondering if there were any of these around? or even cheap eats for lunch. Takeaway or sit in.

There used to be a Thai place on Washington street that had all you can eat lunch. Not sure if it's still there though.

Don't think they work with take aways... Panda Mama used to have it but tis suppose to be fairly bad, and oh wait the pizza place in Little island did but that's gone

There's a chinese buffet type place on North Main Street on the right as you head towards the quays. Looks dodgy out tho.

The chinese buffet place is ok, but don't go there expecting quality!

Yes, some guy turned up and got stuck in the door.

Took the fire brigade 4 hours to cut him out.

How would all you can eat takeaway work :pac:

Never heard of any place doing it.

Places like Chili Padi, Noodlebox or Ramen are all good value, especially if you pick their meal of the day thing. Which is less than a tenner for a main and drink. Of the three I prefer Chili Padi, their food is just better.

The place is Spice Inn and I highly recommend it, extremely high quality food every time I have ordered from them (about once a week for past 6 months). Yet to try what they call 'eat all you can' but think it is only €8 which is a bargain if you have a big appetite. Just had their Tandoori chicken this evening, great as always, their skewer-grilled meats are particularly good but their saucy dishes with lamb are also good (but damn spicy).

    That would be funny, alright.
You could have one restaurant buying food by the bucket load in another restaurant and selling it on!

I've had the all you can eat lunch and it's only a small range of dishes, but in fairness it was very tasty.

I heard your dad went into the restaurant and ate all the food in the restaurant and they had to close the restaurant

I've been to an all-you-can-eat Chinese that did take out, in the UK. You paid about £5 and they gave you a styrofoam takeout container. It was basically all-you-can-fit-in-the-box.
