55k Carlow population v 30k Leitrim population so in their own right i suppose Carlow would outnumber Leitrim. There are however other factors such as diaspora and allies to take into consideration.

    Hopefully carlow

In Leitrim it is customary for every person at the table before dinner to sing a verse of Iron Maiden's "Run To The Hills". So, if nothing else, Leitrim might frighten the sh1te out of Carlow.

We are the scallions eaters, so we'd blow them Leitrim lads away!

Leitrim also have Luis Suarez lookalike Emlyn Mulligan who make take a chunk out of many Carlow soldiers

    Carlow. Some vicious natives about.

We could ask the Cats next door to batter them with their hurleys. As the powers that be are very keen on merging services in Carlow/Kilkenny, we might well disappear soon.:(

I think roscomman and mayo would side with the axis

Leitrim beat them 1-12 0-06 in the league this year. Pretty comprehensive.

Which minor county are you from.

As Leitrim does not exist, then Carlow wins by default

Leitrim of course! Me and my ninja moves will have the war won in no time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,694 ✭✭✭BMJD

My Ma is from Leitrim, feck off Carlow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,761 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Kilkenny would win, we would just annex Carlow while they are off fighting the people from Leitrim :pac:

The Carlow lads will have the Leitrim fellas blinded with their Rastafarian GAA jerseys.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,273 ✭✭✭racso1975

Easy way to solve it celebrity death match:

    Carlow:
Sean o brien, kathryn thomas, saoirse ronan, Richie kavanagh, lisa burke.

    Leitrim:
    Katherine lynch and paul williams.

Result: Carlow wins by the tank destroying lynch and williams but only after they let them batter the living day lights out of richie kavanagh. All the while thomas, ronan and burke are covered in baby oil and skimpy bikinis for every bodies delight.

New jersey this year........not great but nowhere near as bad

Leitrim would win by default owing to a no show by Carlow who were unable to find Leitrim and just went home again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

Leitrim, on the basis that it actually exists. Carlow is just a rumour parents make up to scare their kids.

They destroy each other and Ireland wins :pac:

Unless they start breeding like rabbits up there then Leitrim havent a hope plus they still live in the Neolithic Age up there with their stone tools and nomadic tribes whilst the most intelligent of that crowd leave the county altogether for a better life. Carlow Town has the finest of wannabe Dub riff raff to fight them off and of course Sean O Brien who would send the county itself out into the Atlantic with a kick

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

Pff, Carlow. Landlocked weaklings. Us Leitrimers have been battered along our 1.6 mile Atlantic coastline for generations, we're well 'ard.

Leitrim is the closest thing we have to the Shire. It's too peaceful to be able to defend itself from the Carlow Orcs.

Carlow do have Eddie rockets to supply their armies though

If Leitrim is allowed to play the 'Granny/Grandad' card the way the Irish Soccer team can then they have millions of German, Canadian, Dutch, Uk and Swedish and American artists and crusties to draw from. Carlow is ****ed!!!!

the nordies would come to the defense of their beloved leitrim so there would be only one winner in that situation. roscommon/mayo and sligo would all side with carlow in trying to landgrab their little bit of future territory but would be overwhelmed by the alcohol powered tyrone/fermanagh lads

Leitrim will also have the U.S. marines on side. It's been earmarked for fracking exploration by an American company so the world will be told that Carlow is hoarding WMDs.

    Carlow's gonna get nuked!!!

Carlow would win. Leitrim is basically just a rotting carcass on its last legs. One bomb could go off and the whole county would lose.

We'd smash those inbred Leitrim mucksavages every time.

I would declare a truce and be lifted to tribe leader and cult hero.
We would then hold hands and celebrate to this:

Carlow could spend years trying to find one of the 6 living inhabitants of Leitrim. I call draw.

I went to Carlow before, it is an apocalyptically disgusting place. The locals have no English. They just spout nonsense, consisting largely of guttural noises, gurgling sounds and strange syllables from a forgotten, probably made-up language.

Leitrim wouldn't stand a chance. Us carlow folk are pretty sound. But we are like popeye if we have our scallions we turn into beast's. UP THE SCALLION ATERS....

Carlow, Sugar Beet? what is it 2007?

The chances of them hitting anything in Leitrim are slim as targets are few and far between

Just block off the road and deploy guerrilla war tacit on the carlow boys:D

Don't forget to factor in the hoards of depraved, wanton, debauched hens and stags that flock to the pre-wedding Mecca that is Carrick-on-Shannon every weekend. I hate to say it, being a neighbour of Carlow, but if Leitrim fixed the fight for a weekend and began conscription for every person within their border on that day, I think they would swing it. Running away from the draft would result in lifelong residency in Leitrim. Who wouldn't fight long and hard!!
